This unit discussed the qualities that make good teachers and good learners, the different roles a teacher will likely need to assume to teach effectively, and the characteristics of learners in different age groups and skill levels. I learned a great deal from the section about the various roles of a teacher. I tend to imagine someone in the \"manager\" role when I think of teaching, and it was helpful to see all the other ways in which a teacher should be able to interact with their students. This provides a useful framework I can use to evaluate myself and which areas should focus on in order to improve my overall teaching ability.
