What I appreciated about this section is that it reminded me of the identifiable parts of speech, preparing me to teach students to also identity the parts of the English language. It is interesting to remember how much we actually know. But it's more important to remember what it is we do as educators. I wonder if the TEFL course could guide students through exceptions to the basic rules in regard to the parts of speech. I don't know if this is possible--perhaps, a reading section. We learn so much about the parts of speech through reading. I'm reminded as an English teacher that to be a better teacher requires constant reading.
