Lesson PlanningA lesson planning is a detailed description of the lesson and how the classes are to be presented and taught to students. The purpose of a lesson planning is really quite simple, it is to communicate. A daily lesson plan is developed by a teacher to guide class instruction. If we have our lesson plan it gives us a secure base from which we can project to our class. It helps to calculate how long each activity will take so that we don?t run out of things to do. It makes that you are organized and that you know what you are doing. A well-developed lesson plan reflects interests and needs of students. All lesson planning begin, or should begin with an objective. The first thing a teacher must do is to develop clear and specific objectives. Lesson plan is made according to the level and needs of the learners. It must be interesting and appealing to the student. It gives us a secure base from which we can project to our class the impression that we are organized and that we know what we are doing. It takes lot of thinking and practice to hone this skill, and it won't happen overnight, but it is a skill that will help to define us as a teacher. Lesson planning also help new or inexperienced teachers organize content, materials, and methods. Like most skills, we get better at it the more we do it and think of different ways of improving our planning and teaching based on feedback from students. When lesson plans have been well thought out and prepared in advance, lessons will go much more smoothly and it will be easier for students to achieve the goals of the lesson.
