From this course I have gained a level of confidence where I am comfortable understanding the different concepts of the english language. This course has been very comprehensive in a variety of areas, where I have developed skills in the areas of lesson planning, classroom management, troubleshooting and language teaching in the areas of both receptive and productive skills. Being given the materials to study and understand these principles of english language has not only helped me to recognize my own areas of weakness as a teacher, but also given me the motivation to continue teaching and improve constantly by evaluating my performances and own personal attributes when teaching. Finally, this course has boosted my overall confidence as a teacher where I feel more competent in the areas of classroom management, lesson planning and english grammar. I believe that it is difficult to remember everything that has been covered in a course over a period of time. As a result, I plan to put into action what I have learned by constantly referring to the TEFL worksheets as an independent resource to successful english teaching and understanding. The materials contained in this course provide not only a solid foundation for english teaching, but also a range of ideas, concepts, theories and methods that can be adapted in a way that is personal to you and which best fits the style of teaching that you prefer. Finally, I have put together a list of notes which were received on many occasions from my personal tutor whose advice and thoughts were open minded, informative and extremely encouraging. These notes will provide a constant source of useful information that can be used to challenge my own ideas, which is something I believe is necessary for anyone who wishes to constantly progress.
