I liked the way the teacher had students name animals in the beginning of the lesson. It allowed them to review something they had already learned, and it gave them confidence to learn something new later in the lesson. I also liked how he used the animals--something they were familiar with--to transition to new material.This unit has highlighted some key things to keep in mind as while teaching English. For example one of the suggestions is for students to have the opportunity to speak English as much as possible. By requiring students to use the language at all times they will pick up the language much faster than just listening to it.
