What interests me is when I can provide cultural competency to my teaching. I find I will be able to reach more students by understanding the culture they are in and selecting vocabulary words that reflect their everyday lives. The every changing options of ESA lessons will give me many approaches to teaching my students.The complexities of the English language are interesting yet intimidating. Most natives certainly know when grammar is not correct. Knowing the many complicated rules to explain the mistakes is going to be challenging. This will certainly be a unit I come back to often to refresh my knowledge and reiterate my lessons.
