This unit was interesting- the discipline and activity portion definitely had me thinking about how I may want to motivate my students. I've caught myself asking students if they've understood before, and I will definitely avoid that in the future. Furthermore, I will try and incorporate more authentic materials in my classroom. Silly shows and clips have been shown to excite the kids in the past, but I've been having a hard time finding material that is at their English level (elementary) while also matching their intellect (older kids with a more adult sense of humor). I feel motivated to work hard to find this material nevertheless.
