The introductory unit as well as the first unit have been valuable and rich in acronyms and contents. I have definitely learned terminology that an ESL / TEFL / TESOL / teacher should know how to use and apply to every situation in the classroom. We teachers need preparation to stand out in a crowd and in the classroom. A good teacher should always present meaningful contents that are appealing to the the students' learning process. A good teacher needs to find a balance between being charismatic and demanding at the same time. It is all connected to his personality and the way he delivers systematic language teaching. I have also learned that a good teachers plays different roles inside the classroom. Each role takes place during a class. They shift continuously and It is enriching when a teachers can use them for his or her own benefit. He could be a facilitator, a manager, an assessor, a model and an observer at the same time; and it all depends on the goals and objectives of his class. All in all, it is good to know that there is a dynamic teacher-student interaction that flows different ways, centering on students or centering on teachers. During this dynamic a teacher can assess the students, evaluate them, grade them, give them feed-back; on the other hand, students might develop a connection with the teacher that will make their learning process a great experience. Based on this unit, I have come to the conclusion that there are different types of learners. Preschoolers, young learners, adults who have their own ways to learn based on age, motivation, cultures and needs for their future or careers.
