This Unit 10 was demonstrating a negative and positive style to teaching in a classroom setting. I found these 2 videos quite entertaining! The first video was painful to watch as the teacher acted only interested in completed this objectives with no awareness of his students' needs. He lacked clarification and positive reinforcement. The students acted scared and floundering in their understanding. Fear and anxiety was definitely felt in this first video. In comparison, the 2nd video was excellent. The teacher started off by demonstrating care, understanding and desire for his students to achieve excellence. The students in return responded with engaging rapport and definitely learn more efficiently and accurately. Both of these lesson videos were helpful in comparing and contrasting specifics in teaching lessons to students learning ESL. I found this unit valuable in so many different aspects.
