Good straight forward unit having taken several foreign languages I agree very much so on the main points of this un it. Authentic material is good and motivating, but can be difficult in understanding because it is not geared to an EFL, course. I have tried using authentic in my Russian course very very difficult. Created materials are probably overall better for most of the lesson, although having a concise guide in a course book always gives the student a point to maintain goals and good reference material. Most course books are boring predictable and are usually geared to such a generalized group I personally do not like most of them, but created material does put a lot of work on the teacher and he o she must be creative and willing to put in the time to do so. The examples for the task/ role play were excellent and hopefully will be used if I can maintain and finish this course. Thanks
