This unit showed 2 videos. The second video was a good teaching example and the first video was a poor teaching example. I liked watching the poor teaching example because I got to watch the students reactions when the teacher did something that wasn't appropriate. You could really see confusion in the students and a lack of wanting to participate. They looked scared and intimidated. I liked watching the good teaching video because it gave me a good example on how to teach English to non-native speakers. The teacher used drilling and classroom participation allowing the students to speak English out loud. I also learned things from breaking down the second video into a lesson plan. I was able to see what an Engage phase looked like and how to present the study phase and several different activate phases. Although, I am not sure what kind of a lesson it was. Either a boomerang or a patchwork.
