There was a lot of information covered in this section, but I believe the focus was on, rather than accomplishing the goal of a task, it is more about the process. In the first example, case study, we are introduced to problem-solving learning. In the case study process; you give the roles, describe the process and goals, and let the students do the activity among themselves. In this method, the focus would be getting each person to communicate in order to fulfill their role. Also, this unit described the speech act theory, which can help to identify words or phrases, that may have different contextual meanings; this is pivotal in knowing, because when working with different cultures, there will always be different situations to deal with. So, if one can understand culturally what certain phrases and words could mean from one's native tongue to someone else, it can allow communication to go smoother.
