This section was a good review of the different parts of speech. As a native speaker, these parts of speech are easily taken for granted. I learned that as a teacher, I must understand these different parts of speech because these can be very challenging for a student to learn.This chapter gave me a better understanding of what will go on in the classroom on a day to day basis. It also provided plenty of useful material in terms of activities that can be given to the students and how to administer and make the most of the activities for the students.The list of items recommended to be included in the lesson plan really opened my eyes to the different things to look out for when planning a lesson structure. The sample lesson plan also provides a good reference and comparison, which is very helpful when I create my own plan.
