This unit has helped me understand which activities to use when i am faced with the 'first lesson' in order to create rapport between students and a student/teacher relationship. It has also educated me in understanding how to cope with a mixed ability class and which materials are best used to encourage reluctant/shy participants.To me, this is an extremely helpful lesson. Lesson planning is my weakness so that I sometimes lose track during the class which is very unprofessional. Through learning how to plan lessons, I believe if I can follow the ESA rules and then create my own orders and paths, my teaching will improve a lot and become smoother gradually.
