I really found this course to be really helpful in preparing me to become an EFL teacher. I know that there are some jobs out there that do not require teachers to have a TEFL certificate as long as they are from an English speaking country and possess a bachelor?s degree. However, I don't see how someone with no previous teaching experience can expect to become an effective teacher. I strongly feel that this course has set a good foundation for me to further build upon. I do regret not signing up for the tutor with video option. I feel that having the videos would have really helped me to fully get an idea of how the principles taught should look when carried out in the classroom. I am a quick visual/hands on learner. Once I see or experience hands on how to do something than I've got it. This final unit is helpful in helping me with those potential problems that might arise in the classroom that all inexperienced first time teachers worry about. Also, in some of my job interview prep questions pertaining to these problems have come up. Now I not only have useful ideas for dealing with these problems in the classroom, but also how to handle interview questions pertaining to these problems.
