I learned from this Unit a new way to teach new language, vocabulary (selecting which to teach, and what the student needs to know about that specific word, and different techniques and activities for vocabulary teaching according to the ESA approach (Straight arrow, Boomerang, Pathwork structure)This was a challenging unit for me. I had to learn the correct way to use direct speech as opposed to what people commonly say in English. Word choice is very important for direct speech because using the incorrect information makes a dramatic difference in the meaning of a sentence or question.I found this unit insightful in regards to the other types of external exams offered, of which some i had no knowledge about. I also found it helpful that the tests offered gave an idea of how often each would be required to be done. It has made me consider furthering my studies after this course.
