This unit tackled on the pronunciation and phonology. It gave emphasis on the difference of how words are written from how they are spoken. It is important to take notice of the difference since there are a lot of words that are mostly written using the same letters but are pronounced differently. This difference in pronunciation also points our that the meaning of those words differ. Learning about the phonetic alphabet gives us a guideline on how to properly pronounce words. It is also vital to remember that how words are expressed and pronounced in a sentence leads to various meanings. Expression and feelings are best conveyed using different tones of voice, emphasis and emotion.
