Unit 9 is titled Lesson Planning?and begins by outlining three main important functions of lesson planning which includes an aid to planning, a working document and a document to have for record. The unit provides some basic principles of lesson planning such as the need to keep lesson plans simple, flexible and unscripted. The unit further highlighted the need to be organised by ensuring that all related materials and equipment are available for the lesson. The unit also points out some of the main areas that should be included in a lesson plan including learner objective, personal aims, language points, teaching aids, procedure, phase, timing, interaction and class level.
