This unit focused on classroom management techniques. It included tips for when/how to use eye contact, gesture and voice; various ways of grouping students (total class, individual, pairs, groupwork); and classroom seating arrangements (such as tables, rows and circles/horseshoes). I was especially glad to see a discussion of discipline, as well as practical advice on holding the attention of students, such as not turning your back on students while at the board, and how to increase Student Talk Time. Chapters such as this, interspersed between the \"heavy\" chapters on Grammar and Tenses, help to give students a breather and provide important, relevant tips for the classroom.
