In this unit, I've learnt that authentic materials which is a material that native speaker would hear or read so it is not designed for beginner level students. However, it is real-life English and if student can understand what is written, it will build their confidence. Created materials are designed and prepared by teachers as a supplement material from course book. Unlike authentic material, it can be created according to the student's level. As for course book, it is already designed by publisher for both student and teacher's use (with step-by-step guide for instructor manual). It is always better to mix and match of materials according to the student's level and their needs.
