This units provided me with a lot of insight regarding the material used during a lesson and how it can be implemented within the ESA method. In a country where the culture of an English speaking country is popular and wide-spread, authentic material might enrich the Engage phase and motivate students' participation as they would be rather familiar with it. Since relying solely on course books carries many disadvantages, a teacher should try and take advantage of its benefits all while adapting the parts that aren't relevant. Course books may be used as an inspiration. What should always be kept in mind is creating an interesting, consistant and adapted learning journey for learners.
