This unit has taught me the different ways to handle students. Students of a foreign language need to be treated with sensitivity, I understand that me as a teacher of English, I have to adjust myself to the level of the student. I have to include all students equally while maintaining the correct level of eye contact, having the appropriate tone of voice as well as using the correct gestures so that the student is able to understand and absorb information. I have learnt that student talk time is of utmost importance and students must be encouraged to work together to help each other grow. I have learned that my appearance and conduct is important in preventing students bad behaviour.
