This unit dealt with the past tense and its four forms. These four are an exact match to the present tense with small changes. The Past Simple tense causes the verbs suffix to end with ed or d however all irregular verbs can change dramatically. It was great to see several examples of these irregular verbs. The difference between Past and Present Continuous is that the added auxiliary word is was/were instead of be and for Past Perfect the word is just the past tense of have, had. Even the Past Perfect Continuous has a subject followed by had been and a verb ending with the suffix ing. I was happy to realize how closely related both tenses are.
