It is very eye opening to see the several areas of education that are more behind the scenes because as a former student myself, I really never paid attention to the different kinds of testing I would regularly be given. While I was aware of things like diagnostic tests in order to see where a student stands in the present, knowing that multiple testing types exist in order to facilitate varying goals or outcomes of student learning is quite fascinating. It is also quite interesting to note the several variations of external exams used to address a plethora of different areas a student may need testing for regarding the interests of the student.
