This unit has opened my mind and taught me how to resource many different materials in different forms and how to evaluate their suitability for use in class. I also learnt how to effectively structure a receptive skills lesson around the carefully selcted materials. I better understand what the breakdown of receptive skills is and can now identify them.I found this unit very difficult. It presented a lot of challenges for me in terms of how the various techniques translate into everyday conversation. I found the transitive verbs especially complicated and don't think I understood it very well at all. I think i will have to go back and re-read over this unit in order to fully understand the information.
