Before going to the country, try to do some research about the country and learn a little about its history. When finding a job as an ESL teacher, there are many different ways to search for employment. The internet is a great way to find different job opportunities/ postings. Usually, job postings will include a brief description of the position and the location. You can also find job postings in newspapers or on different websites that a meant for teachers looking for positions. The online website for TEFL provides different courses that can be taken, best times to work in certain countries, and job positions. There is also the way of looking for a job in-country, meaning going to stay in a country and actually go to different places to find jobs. Looking for jobs in-country can be a little difficult as you need to be prepared to stay there and have some money saved. When creating a C.V or resume, there are basic things that need to included in the CV/ resume. Name, date of birth, address, contact details, marital status, and nationality are all things that should be included. This is for your own CV/ resume as well as employees if ever you are in a situation to recruit new members. In a resume, qualifications should be included from most recent to least recent. You want them to also be relevant for the job opportunity. Employment history should also be in reverse chronological order. If you have had lots of different jobs in the past, just write the job title and dates of employment, summarize your skills and experience in a separate block. Make sure everything is readable, your honest, keep in brief, and personalize it a little with some of your interests, hobbies, etc. You want to be able to catch the employers attention.
