In this unit i have learnt that every word in a sentence that is spoken/written is defined as a different part of speech. Nouns are names of people, places, things, animals, states, qualities, etc. Nouns can be either Common nouns (teacher, chair, school, cat...), Proper nouns (John, America, Earth...), Compound nouns (bus driver, suitcase, bookcase...), Abstract nouns (beauty, sadness, democracy...), or Collective nouns (family, friends, herd...). When pluralizing a noun we generally add an s at the end of the word (cats, dogs), but if the word ends with either a ch, sh, x, s we add an es to the end of it (boxes, buses). Some exceptional cases are tooth(teeth), man(men), etc. A noun can also be considered to be Countable or Uncountable determining whether we should use a, an, the, or if can be pluralized, e.g. a car, an elephant, the horse, houses (Countable), music, bread (Uncountable). Adjectives are words used to describe or give meaning to nouns. When placing an adjective, it should placed in a specific order based on what the context of the word used is. This being size-age-colour-material-noun. Adjective can either be Comparative ([adjective]+ ...er than), or can be Superlative ([adjective]+ ...est). Article are of two types: definite (the) and indefinite (a and an). The indefinite articles a and an are used with singular nouns when the noun is general. A is specifically used with word that either start with a consonant or start with a consonant sound, e.g. a ball, a uniform, whereas an is used with words that either start with a vowel or start with a vowel sound, e.g. an elephant, an hour. The definite noun the is used with singular or plural nouns that are specific, e.g. the earth. It can also be used with uncountable nouns, e.g. The coffee in my cup. If the cannot be used something that is in a general sense it is considered a Zero Article. Verbs are words which describe an action or a state of being (action: go, watch.. state:be, seem, feel...). These can be either Transitive or Intransitive verbs. Transitive verbs are verbs that are followed by a a word used as an object, e.g. I play basketball. An intransitive verb cannot be followed by an object and is an action word that stands alone, e.g. I'll go. Infinitives are base verbs that follow after \"to\
