Teaching a new language and its vocabulary is not as easy as we think and demands reflection before structuring our lesson. Selecting the vocabulary is essential as words have so many meanings depending on the context but also if it has been use frequently or not generally. We need to make sure that our audience has a sufficient level to learn the vocabulary words that we have chosen, otherwise they can be put in the box of non teachable vocabulary words. Our lessons should follow the ESA type and can be adapted to a boomerang or patchwork ESA type depending of what we want the students to learn, such as the language functions where Boomerang and Patchwork structure are quite effective.
