How painful to sit and watch the first lesson. The attitude is not only obvious that the teacher doesn't want to be there but his condescending nature is harmful for students to appreciate English. The second lesson incorporated visuals, positive reinforcement, personal attention with use of names and corrections that do not make students feel bad for responding with the incorrect answer. A teacher has profound ability to help student by creative and useful lessons but unfortunately, as we can see, the teacher also had the ability to hinder students' and their desires to learn by planning poorly and bringing a negative attitude into the class.
