This unit was all about how to manage classes. It took into account eye contact, gesturing, use of voice, how to arrange the classroom, how to decrease teacher talk time (TTT) etc. This is the module that I have felt most comfortable with. I am already a teacher and have learned many of these techniques already. It is nice to know that this unit can be applied to universal teaching and not just to TEFL. Discipline can be very tricky, particularly with large classes and each student's motivation for being there. It is good to have a reminder that shouting is an ineffective way of dealing with problems. Consistency and follow-through is key!
