I loved studying this unit for many reasons, and I have learned quite a lot from this unit. Just to mention something, I do believe that the phonemic alphabet would be extremely useful in order to teach proper pronunciation. What struck me the most in this unit was the mention of the different type of pronounced sounds. For instance, fricatives are formed by vibration that comes from between the teeth and lips to produce a sound - for instance the 'v' sound or 'th' sound. Plosives are formed by blocking air and then releasing the air in an explosive manner, allowing English speakers to form letters such as 'p' or 'b' in their speech pronunciation.
