In Unit 7: Teaching new languages, I became aware of different reasons why it is important on how we introduce a new language to students. For example, when introducing vocabulary, you must keep in mind such things as the appropriacy of the vocabulary words to the students ie., their age level, their language level, whether it is a formal class group (business group) or an informal group (students/tourists) etc., as well as how often the students are likely to use or come across the vocabulary. When introducing grammatical structures, we must be aware that students need to know what the language means, how it is used and how it is said and written.
