I would love to use course books because they help keep me up to date on what i can do as a teacher to develop my students. However, i definitely will not use it as a crutch. My students would get the absolute benefits of having me as a teacher because i would use a mixer of authentic materials as well as created ones. I would use certain types of ESA strategies to make the classroom more engaging and exciting to come to. I would not constantly use games as a way to keep the students engage but i would have a heavy mix of games from created materials and authentic materials with what to write from the course book alongside my lesson plan of course.
