In this unit, I learned the four present tenses of verb conjugation in English grammar: present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. I found this unit to be highly detail-oriented. My natural ability to conjugate verbs and to know what 'sounds right' has been engrained. What I need to keep in mind is how my students will need clear reasons why certain rules apply the way they do because this ability is not native to them. I need to know the contexts for the tenses as well as how to identify and best correct a grammar mistake when I hear or see one, so that the grammar will make sense as a system to my students.
