This unit went over how to create a lesson plan and the importance of having one. Lesson plans have been mentioned in earlier units but this unit went into much more detail about the structure of a plan and purpose. Having a lesson plan helps organize the class, gives the teacher a reference to build off of, and allows the teacher to keep track of what is and is not working in the classroom. Keeping the plan flexible is very important, it should not be too rigid, but having an outline can help you to be much more prepared and effective in teaching overall. This unit was very helpful in understanding how to create a plan and what the focus should be.
