This unit was on teaching special groups. All the information was helpful. There were lots of good reminders of the do's and don'ts even for a veteran teacher. I think of all the levels, I think my comfort level would be to teach the absolute beginner or the false beginner to the older young learners, 13-16 years old. That way I would know to start at the very beginning. In time, I am sure, some will learn quicker but then they would be able to assist the ones that don't catch on as quickly. Whether the class is monolingual or multilingual, I think to start with I would lean towards teaching the monolingual. They would be able to help others who did not understand the instructions.
