This unit went over the purposes of tutorials, student evaluation, and tests, focusing primarily on testing. The unit went over the different types of testing out there: placement, diagnostic, progress, practice tests for external examinations, and external exams. It also included a good sample placement test, which not only gathers information on the students English grammar understanding but also allows the teacher to see just how motivated the student is to learn and why. What was new to me in this lesson was the different types of external testing, which is good information to have saved should I ever get asked about the different testing available to them for any particular purpose.
