This unit focused on difficulties that a teacher may face in a classroom. These include different levels, size of the class, listening problems, disciplinary issues, reluctance, and use of the native language. It is very important to keep the students encouraged, especially if they are having problems. The use of a native language in a classroom is not to be allowed, except occasionally in group work amongst themselves to move things along. I found the \"first day\" section very helpful, as I am quite nervous about my first day. Establishing rapport with the students in absolutely essential, as well as figuring out the language ability of the students. This was a nice end to a great course!
