Breaking down teachers and learners in several categories has its limits but provides a solid framework to know what to do in a variety of a situations. As an experimented teacher the unit often felt rather obvious but still did a good job of summarizing frequently encountered scenarios.I must admit I was aware of most of the content, however, I found some details interesting, like how young learners tend to easily acquire knowledge from context while adults feel like they must transpose everything in their native language. I feel as a learner of Japanese that a key to learn efficiently might be to let go of one's own language, especially when the target language is from a different phylum.
