This unit emphasized the increased results a teacher can achieve with careful planning in certain areas. While it is possible to show up to class and teach, this method will likely leave gaping holes in student knowledge and in the professional growth of the teacher also. Lesson plans may be hard to make the first time, but I imagine they would be priceless if you taught the same class again next year, or if a teacher replaced you. Setting estimated times for each part of the class was recommended, although activities that are enjoyed very well can be protracted slightly. My experience was usually going over time when I taught and I may have lost interest by taking too long in certain areas.
