While the information in this section was useful in that it broke down the idea of a \"test\" into more targeted categories, it does not give too many pointers in assessment design. Assessment design in sometimes more difficult than the lesson planning and teaching itself. Especially for Spoken English, oral examination design can be tricky. If you stick to a script, you might not get a full picture of the learner's abilities. However, if you have a natural conversation, some important language structures and abilities may be overlooked. Also, it might be difficult for the teacher to keep the discussion on track and organized. I will seek out more guidance in this area of learning assessment.
