A variety of teaching themes can make the teaching environment fun and exciting for students. Using songs, chants and music is an entertaining way to practice pronunciation, stress, intonation and rhythm ; using games with older learners is ideal when introducing new vocabulary and for general revision. Stories, arts & crafts and drama could be used to practice all 4 language skills. These activities get the learners to actively participate and enjoy the learning environment which is any teachers' aim. As a new teacher, I would definitely integrate these activities (theme related) in my lessons, not just to make learning fun but to also improve my teaching skills in the different creative ways.
