Unit 11 tells us about receptive skills, namely reading and listening. Both skills are necessary for building and learning a language. When we teach reading and listening, it is very important to consider things like pre-teaching unknown words and grammar, selecting and choosing a text and a topic carefully, and creating interest before starting. Moreover, when we teach these two skills, we have to be let the students understand the purpose of doing and learning each. As a teacher, I learned that these skills can be easily taught when you let the students be engaged in the lesson. It is important to have a motivation for the students to be hooked and get ready to participate actively in the class.
