Writing is the most difficult for students because every culture writes in their own way. It may be difficult for students who are used to writing from right to left to understand the left to right concept. This is the most creative lesson in that it encourages fluency and accuracy. It is important to create a desire to communicate with interesting materials such as cartoon strips. Methods like free role play can engage students and games like jeopardy or crosswords are very entertaining and keep the mood of the classroom competitive and fun. I enjoy using races and games to encourage a sense of fair play and can be a useful tool in teaching the English language as well as creating comradery.
