The content in this unit was interesting. I learned that the one thing each special group has in common is that they want to learn English, but the reasons they want to learn English is different. For some groups they are learning English for business, other groups are learning for school. I also learned that each special group has their own dynamic. The younger learners are able to learn English faster, but their attention span is shorter. Adults who are learning English for their jobs may be more motivated, but the number of students in that class can vary each day because they?re so busy. There is also the one-on-one tutoring which has its advantages and disadvantages as well. The teacher would need to be adaptable to different groups and their needs.
