In this unit I learned about how to manage a class effectively by using eye contact, gestures, class grouping, and discipline. I read about the different ways to use eye contact and gestures. Using eye contact at the appropriate time and the types of gestures that are fit to use. The seating arrangement style is also important for the class because every class is different. Seating arrangement styles are better fit for certain types of classrooms. I learned about the importance of teacher talk time (TTT) and student talk time (STT). There is a certain balance that needs to be maintained between the two. How to maintain discipline was also something important I gained from this unit. This unit provided good examples of how to maintain discipline in the classroom.
