This unit allowed for me to better understand the finer details of the English language. This unit was a good review from when I was first learning the language in elementary school and really made me think about the basic parts of sentence. It was interesting to see it all come together as I have been writing and talking with proper sentence structure my whole life, but I have noticed a lot of slang or laziness I have developed in my speech over the years. Re-learning the basic parts of speech has shown me how easy it is to understand, but also, how difficult the English language can be to someone how may be learning it for the first time. This unit was very helpful as it showed me many tricks I take for granted and how difficult they may be for other to spot out.
