I have used the equipment in this unit for the last 14 years in my American classrooms. This unit is a little out of date in terms of American technology but different schools have different budgets for technology. At my school-VCRS, video cameras, overhead projectors, cassette tapes and blackboards are no longer used. We have laptops, smart boards, LCD projectors etc. I learned a lot in terms of the computer resources available in relation to TEFL and I will definitely check out many of these sources before I start teaching TEFL. Technology is a rapid changing area especially in relation to education. I think Western countries are probably spoiled because we a used to computer related everything from books to podcasts to FaceTime and etc-we are saturated in technology.
