In this unit I learned about the different parts of speech. It was an overview of the most common parts of speech and an introduction to each, but I imagine that each has a lot more to it based on the text saying that many of them would have entire units devoted to them. This unit was very dense and full of information. I learned a lot about the complexities of English grammar. I was previously unaware of much of the information in this text, such as rules about superlative and comparative adjectives. For example, I knew that there were some adjectives that needed to use more or most instead of adding er/est, but thought that it was just random irregular verbs. It was an a-ha moment when I found out that it was adjectives with more than two syllables that abide by this rule.
