Like other grammar units, this was a good refresher course and I feel more confident in my ability to teach it to others. The focus of this unit was modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice. The modal auxiliary chart really helped me to grasp the entire concept-it showed each modals uses and their forms in the present/future and past. The unit then moved on to the passive voice, and explained the difference between the active and passive voice-the object of an active ver becomes the subjects of the passive verb. I had actually never heard of relative clauses, so it was very helpful to learn about them and their three different types. The last section was on phrasal verbs, which can be broken down into three types--intransitive, transitive separable, and transitive inseparable.
